Kinja'd!!!

If the Prius was electronically limited to 80 mph, would people still buy it?

Been noticing a lot of Prius drivers “hauling ass” lately.

The Prius has a confirmed top speed of 45. Your question is moot.

If the Prius only seated one, would it be a Prime?

No, because all the ones I see are speeding, going 90.

Of course, nobody’s ever hit 80 in a Prius anyway.

Since we are chatting about Prii speed limits, it’s time to pass along the little flash app here: http://eahart.com/flash/PSDAnim.…

(More info here: http://eahart.com/prius/psd/ )

I’m not sure, but Toyota said my roomate’s was limited to 104. We saw 110 and only slowed down because the battery ran out.

Isn’t it though? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one at traffic speeds so I just also assumed they had maxed out.
